Vineri seara, in Piata Sfatului din Brasov, a avut loc finala Romanian Music Awards. Marele invingator a fost Smiley, care, in urma celor sapte nominalizari ale sale a obtinut patru trofee. El a castigat premiul special Radio 21, premiul pentru cea mai difuzata piesa si a fost invingator la sectiunile Best Pop si Best Male Artist.
Inna a fost, insa, rasfatata serii si a organizatorilor. Ea a oferit mai multe premii, a schimbat numeroase tinute, a castigat trofeul pentru Best Female, premiul special al revistei OK si premiul pentru cel mai bun website, si a avut propria ei scena, situata in stanga scenei oficiale.
Desi a castigat sectiunea Best Song, pentru piesa Mr. Saxobeat, Alexandra Stan nu a fost prezenta la ceremonie.
Festivitatea a inceput putin dupa ora 20 si s-a terminat aproape de ora 3 a diminetii, fiind transmisa in direct pe postul de televiziune Music Channel si Money Channel. Show-ul a fascinat publicul, beneficiind de o recuzita absolut exceptionala si de prezenta unui numar impresionant de artisti, peste 40.
